The New South Wales Primary Deputy Principals Network is a proud sponsor of Stewart House. Stewart House is the official charity of the NSW Department of Education.
Stewart House is run as a charity and also as a DoE school. Stewart House relies on funding from the DoE and external organisations to operate its programs.
Every year the committee uses the conference rooms at Stewart House at Curl Curl for one of our meetings.
Every year a representative from Stewart House is invited to attend the conference dinner and the NSW PDPN makes a donation to Stewart House following the conference from a proportion of sponsorship fees and all of the raffle money from each conference.
Students enjoy a day at the facilities and then a day out on a rotating basis. A visit to Stewart House lasts 12 days. Each year 1800 public school children in need come to Stewart House from NSW and the ACT.
During their stay, children are provided with optometric, dental and medical treatment as well as emotional support. This is balanced with health and educational programs and out of school activities to boost self-esteem and promote a healthier lifestyle.
The NSW PDPN is continually honoured with awards from Stewart House, in recognition of our fundraising support.
